Nagaland celebrates Handloom Day

KOHIMA: National Handloom day was celebrated at the Nagaland University in Medziphema on Monday. It was organized by the Directorate of Field Publicity in collaboration with the School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development of Nagaland University and the Weavers' Service Centre of the textile ministry. Speaking as the chief guest, T Lanusosang, pro-vice-chancellor of Nagaland University, said the handloom sector form a part of the heritage of India and the government should invest more in the sector.
