KOCHI: A 25-year-old YouTuber has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman he met through social media, police said on Sunday.
According to the victim’s complaint, Mohammed Nishal from Kozhikode sexually assaulted her twice, threatening to leak her private videos and photos online.
He also allegedly threatened to send the content to her husband, police stated.
Investigators revealed that Nishal has similar cases registered against him in multiple police stations.
He was arrested by Kalamassery police on Saturday and later produced before a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
