ALAPPUZHA: Bagging an A grade in violin (Eastern) competition this year was a dream come true for Bhavana
Krishna S Pai, since this was her third consecutive achievement in as many years. She dedicated her victory to her father, her first violin guru. The Class X student of V&HSS for Girls, Manacaud, is one among the two girl participants who bagged A grade in the HS category this year.
Bhavana was introduced to the violin at the age of four by her father Sunil Pai, a violinist with over 25 years of experience. “Her love for strings began when she was a kid. When
Bhavana was just 2.5 years old, she started to sit beside me and listen to the violin. Now violin is her passion," said the Isro engineer.
Both father and daughter have been conducting concerts for the past five years. Bhavana has been taking professional lessons in violin rendition from renowned violinist S R Rajasree for the past few years.
