Two students drown in paddy field

: Two students drowned in a pool in a harvested paddy field at Ayanikkad near Mulloor in the district on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as

Shahul Sujit

(16), of Angadipparambil at

Vattakulam

in

Malappuram

district, and Panampadikkal Sreehari (12), from Mangalam near Tirur in Malappuram. While

Shahul

is a Plus II student, Sreehari was studying in the seventh standard. They had come to their relatives’ houses at Mulloor to participate in a pooram festival there. tnn
