Tripunithura man killed in two-wheeler accident

Tripunithura: A 24-year-old man was killed after his two-wheeler went out of control and crashed into the median under Metro viaduct in Petta on Thursday.The deceased person is identified as Hormis Mathew, son of Biju, a resident of Chitra Nagar, Tripunithura. The accident occurred near Metro pillar 953 in Champakkara area at 1.45am.According to police, Mathew was on his way to a friend's house when he met with the accident. He sustained grievous head injuries. Though he was rushed to a private hospital in Vyttila, he succumbed to his injuries, police said.Police said the body will be handed over to the kin after an autopsy.Maradu police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation. Police said they have begun an investigation to find how exactly the accident occurred.
