Three youths held with MDMA

Kochi: Three youths were arrested by Kochi city police with drugs, including MDMA, on Thursday.
The arrested individuals are identified as Anju Krishna, 31, of Kazhakkoottam, Thiruvananthapuram; Alex K A, 27, of Thrikkakara; and Hashir K A, 25, of Edavanakkad.
According to police, the woman was a junior artist in the film industry. The accused had procured the drug from Bengaluru and was in the process of selling it in small quantities to customers, said police.
A team under narcotics cell ACP K A Abdul Salam, comprising district anti-narcotic special action task force (Dansaf) officials and Kalamassery police, conducted a raid at an apartment at Vattekunnam, Kalamassery, to arrest the accused.During the search, 23.08g of MDMA and 54g of ganja were seized.
According to police, the accused were arrested based on confidential information received by the city commissioner S Shyamsundar. The operation was held under the directive of DCP S Sudarshan, leading to the arrest of the accused.
