The Kochi Ernakulathappan Temple is getting a new kulappura malika. This malika was constructed near Arattu Kadavu of the temple, and will be formally opened by Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh on Sunday. The kulappura was constructed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh, and the amount was donated by a devotee from Tripunithur. The temple committee plans to install a 12-foot tall shivalinga in the middle of the temple pond before the next festival season. Hibi Eden MP and Mlas K. N. Unnikrishnan and T. J. Vinod will attend the opening of the kulappura malika.
