Shine’s plaint: Shajahan’s house raided

Kochi: A police team from Ernakulam, which is looking into a complaint filed by CPM leader K J Shine alleging cyberattack, raided the house of CPM sympathiser K M Shajahan in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday night. Shajahan had posted a video allegedly defaming Shine and Vypeen MLA K N Unnikrishnan on his YouTube channel.A team headed by Munambam DSP is probing Shine's complaint in which she alleged that a coordinated campaign targeting her and her family was going on in cyberspace. Shine contested the Lok Sabha election from the Ernakulam constituency last year.Meanwhile, a team from Ernakulam rural cyber crime unit inspected the house of Congress local leader K J Gopalakrishnan, who is the first accused in the case, in North Paravoor. He is on the run. His wife also lodged a complaint with the police, alleging a cyberattack following the complaint against Gopalakrishnan. tnn
