Kochi: Shaj Kiran seeks anticipatory bail

KOCHI: Shaj Kiran, who allegedly threatened Swapna Suresh over her 164 statement, and his friend Ibrayi have approached the high court seeking anticipatory bails.
They contended that the audio recording of a friendly talk with Swapna was released as part of a conspiracy to trap them in a case. Shaj also claimed that he has some health issues.
Meanwhile, advocate Krishna Raj R, who is representing Swapna before the high court, has also filed an anticipatory bail in the case registered against him for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.He has contended that the case was registered to prevent him from representing Swapna. tnn
