Collector colluded with Divya: Satheesan

Kochi: Opposition leader V D Satheesan on Friday demanded an investigation against those who fabricated complaints against ADM Naveen Babu to portray him as a corrupt official.
Satheesan also accused Kannur district collector Arun K Vijayan of colluding with former Kannur district panchayat president P P Divya in insulting the ADM. "Collector Arun Vijayan should have stopped Divya from speaking as she was not invited to the function. He could have protected Naveen when Divya launched an attack on him. He is also responsible for the Naveen's death," Satheesan told reporters in Kochi.
He said that the decision to change the timing of the farewell function was dubious. "It was done to ensure Divya's presence," he said. Satheesan said that despite Naveen belonging to a CPM family, the party launched a campaign that ADM was corrupt in order to protect their leader.
