Re-establish quality of ayurveda, says governor

Governor P Sathasivam

has said that it is high time that the quality and authenticity of ayurveda are re-established in the society.

Inaugurating the centenary celebration of the Kallai branch of the

Arya Vaidya Sala

, Kottakkal, on Friday, the Governor asked the institutions on ayurveda to expose the quacks in the sector. “It must inquire as to why ayurveda is pushed behind even after adopting scientist methods in treatment,” the governor said.

There are undesirable practices in the name of ayurveda in the tourism sector in the state.

The governor asked those in the field to make the health system more effective and acceptable by coordinating with other systems of medicine.
