Pulsar Suni moves court with fresh bail plea

KOCHI: Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, first accused in the actress rape case approached Additional District and Sessions court with bail application in the same case on Monday.
Meanwhile, the court sent a notice to Nedumbassery police which registered case against Suni in the case asking if they have any objection in granting bail to Suni. The court will hear Suni’s bail plea on August 17.Advocate B A Aloor moved the bail plea in the court for Suni.
In the bail application, it has been stated that Suni has not so far got the opportunity to give statement under section 164 of CrPC before the judicial magistrate. Aloor said the investigation team filed charge sheet against Suni in the court, which is yet to start trial proceedings in the case. It was in this circumstance the counsel of Suni moved court with bail plea.
