Police yet to identify online loan lender

Kochi: Police are yet to make any breakthrough in the case related to the suicide of a four-member family at Kadamakudy over alleged harassment by online loan sharks. Since the money was transacted through online, Varapuzha police could not identify the culprits in the case. Nijo, his wife Shilpa and their children Abel and Aaron were found dead in their house on Tuesday. Shilpa had borrowed money from online loan lenders. As the family defaulted on repayment, the lenders started to harass them and had morphed photo of Shilpa in an obscene way and sent it relatives forcing the family to take extreme step. Their family members received the message on Wednesday too asking them to repay the loan. Police said they received two complaints on Wednesday over the message. tnn

Byjus makes a surprise $1.2 billion repayment proposal to lenders
