Pathanamthitta police arrest three for assaulting petrol pump employee

Kottayam: Pathanamthitta police arrested three men for assaulting Ranjith, a petrol pump employee from Chenneerkara, using a helmet and for stealing Rs 2,000 from him.The arrested individuals are Sooraj, 19, from Pramadom; Premjith Prasad, 19, from Omalloor and Vishnu Bhaskaran, 19, from Mannaramala. The incident occurred around 12.30am on Tuesday. The accused arrived at the pump in Omalloor and sought petrol in a plastic bottle. When Ranjith refused, they assaulted him and stole the money. The three men were presented in court and remanded in custody.
