THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All screening centres were teeming with crowds on the second day of IFFK. Competition films drew a heavy response and Films like Cold of Kalandar directed by Mustafa Kara, Sink by Brett Michael Innes, Clash by Mohamed Diab, Croatian film Ministry of Love evoked great applause.
Talking about his film 'Sink', director Brett Innes said that it was his journeys through the hardships of Dark Continent which made him a filmmaker.

He said that he was deeply influenced by his travels from South Africa to South Sudan. The open forum was inaugurated by actor Amol Palekar. He said that open forums are democratic forums which reflected various debates and thoughts.
Meanwhile, festival organizers have directed delegates to be present in the theatre before the national anthem is played. In most theatres, delegates were seen standing up when the national anthem was played on Saturday . Mahesh Panchu, academy secretary said that special entrance has been arranged for delegates who make reservations for screening. Main films will be screened at 6pm, 8pm and 10pm at Nishagandhi open theatre.
