. She was speaking on the topic ‘1975: A Year in Indian History Through its Films’ at the Kerala History Congress at St Teresa’s College here on Thursday. We had films like Sholey, Chupke Chupke, Julie, etc. released in 1975, with different themes. But there were common narratives among the all-diverse content that reflect social situations of the age. She said the issues related to the unemployment, technology development, population, etc. in the respective period were evident in the films of Amithab Bachan, Sathyajith Rai, Mrunal Sen, etc.
