Odorant leak reported

Kochi: Eloor fire force officials said that the strong smell experienced by residents near Kalamassery Kinfra Park region on Friday was due to a minor leak of an odorant mixed in natural gas. Fire officials said that it was tert-butyl mercaptan, a mixing agent, which got leaked during the maintenance at a dosing station at Kalamassery. tnn
