NDA will fight on vision of developed Kerala, says Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Kochi: BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Monday said that NDA has a vision of a developed Kerala.

"We are looking for power and position, and our fight is on development politics. For that, we want to change governance," said Chandrasekhar, who is also the NDA chairman.

Addressing reporters on the sidelines of an NDA state leadership camp, Chandrasekhar said that CPM and Pinarayi Vijayan ruled for 10 years and spent Rs 22 lakh crore. "But they don't have money to pay the drinking water supply contractors or the ASHAs. The Left front, which ruled by promising that everything would be set right for the past decade, is now making allegations against the central govt with only 60 days left for the election, which is an attempt to fool the people by blaming. They are blaming the Centre for AIIMS and RRTS," he added.

The NDA state leadership camp witnessed a strong turnout from workers across districts and constituencies to decide that the NDA's concept and mission should bring change.

Chandrasekhar said that he would contest from Nemom. However, the party is yet to finalize on the candidates, which would be announced in a couple of weeks. He challenged the chief minister to a debate to discuss the state's development.

"The Chief Minister does not view the theft of 4.5kg of gold from a sacred temple like Sabarimala as a failure. No one was punished. The matter will be resolved only when the devaswom minister goes to jail," he said.
