Mobile used by Suni in jail seized

KOCHI: The police team investigating the actress rape case recovered the mobile and SIM card used by prime accused 'Pulsar' Suni at the district jail in Kakkanad. The mobile and SIM were recovered from Vishnu and Sanal, fellow inmates of Suni in jail, who were arrested on Sunday. Confirming this, Ernakulam rural superintendent A V George said, "We recovered the mobile and SIM card from the duo and further probe is on".Sanal was arrested for providing the mobile to Suni while Vishnu was arrested for blackmailing actor Dileep, police said. The SIM card was procured using a Tamil Nadu address and police have decided to conduct a forensic analysis of the SIM card and mobile.After obtaining permission of Angamaly judicial first class magistrate court, police questioned Suni again in jail. Police sources said Suni told them that actor Dileep had prior knowledge about the abduction and assault on the actress. On Sunday, police discovered that it was Suni not Vishnu who called Appunni, Dileep's manager, with the intention to blackmail the actor and extort money from him.
