Methil Devika presents mohiniyattam based on corona

“We need support from all sections of society, including artistes and performers, in the fight against coronavirus,” said the State’s Health Minister K K Shailaja, as she introduced a mohiniyattam performance, based on corona, by danseuse Methil Devika.
Through the dance, Methil Devika personifies the corona virus, the impact it has had worldwide and how people should respond to it.Accompanied by the musical composition of Muthuswamy Deekshitar, it is interesting to see how the danseuse has used the pandemic as a graceful and modern inspiration in her choreography. The dance uses the rasas to convey the fearful, pathetic and terrible features of the disease.
