Man stabs SI near police station; arrested

Kozhikode: A sub-inspector (SI) attached with Kozhikode Town station sustained a stab injury after being attacked by a goon on Saturday near the station. The injured officer Shafi P was attacked by a man named Pramod hailing from West Hill. The SI had gone to a restaurant near the police station to have tea when Pramod entered into an argument with the waiter at the restaurant. The SI intervened and asked the accused to quiet down. Irked by the same, he attacked the officer from behind. Shafi was rushed to a hospital. Police soon arrested the accused.
