: Enraged by his wife defying his order to keep away from attending phone calls, a man
killed
her before chopping off his testes at Meenadom near here, police said on Saturday.
Identifying the victim as
Saramma
, police said her husband, Joy Thomas—both aged 52—has been admitted to the medical college hospital.
Police said Joy and Saramma—parents of two daughters—had been quarrelling since morning, and the former prohibited his wife from picking up calls.
After lunch, her phone rang and she picked it up. Joy picked up an axe and attacked her, and when their neighbours responded to her screams, he threatened them and stabbed her, before cutting off his testes, police said.
