Man found dead in field

Kochi: Aluva police have sought information to identify a man who was found dead in a field near Mudoor Road, Keerampara, under the jurisdiction of Aluva east police station.The deceased appears to be aged between 40 and 50 years old. A case has been registered and an investigation is under way. Anyone with information about this person is requested to contact the police at the following numbers: SI 86062 85109, SHO 94979 87114. Meanwhile, efforts are on to identify a man who was found dead in a well on a private property near Aluva Sub Jail on Friday. In this case, preliminary findings indicate that the cause of death was drowning. Police, however, are yet to identify the deceased. There are no other visible injuries on the body. Police said the deceased seems to be under 35 years of age. An attempted theft occurred in the vicinity, and the man in the CCTV footage in that case resembles the deceased. "We are investigating if the deceased is the same person. Whether someone under the influence of alcohol entered the private compound and fell into the well is also under investigation," said an officer.
