Kerala: Man dies after son pours acid on him

IDUKKI: A 60-year-old man died on Monday after his son poured acid on him following a quarrel. According to police,

, a resident of Irumpupalam in Adimali was injured after his son Vineeth, 30, threw acid on him on March 21.

Chandrasenan was under treatment at Kottayam medical college and died on Monday morning. The accused was arrested on the following day of the incident. Adimali circle inspector

said that the police would slap IPC 304 against the accused. “The accused was arrested under IPC 326. Chandrasenan was also suffering from other health issues,” said the police officer.

After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to relatives. Chandrasenan is survived by his wife Kanaka and daughter Jothisha.TNN
