Man arrested for house burglary

Kochi: Ernakulam rural police arrested a 43-year-old man for allegedly breaking into a house in Pothanikkad and stealing valuables. The accused was identified as Abhilash P of Enanelloor, Muvattupuzha.According to police, the accused broke into a house in Chelakkadavu and stole a laptop, television, CCTV hard disk and cash. The burglar also destroyed the CCTV cameras in the house. Police said that he was an accused in various cases at Kalloorkad and Pothanikkad police stations. The investigation team included inspector K Brijukumar, SI Joshi Mathew, ASIs Dileep, Shibi Kurian, Shanavas, SCPO Lijesh and CPOs Noufal, Anuraj and Jims. Police said that efforts were on to recover the stolen items. He was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
