NEW DELHI: Malayalam actress Honey Rose has accused a man of 'stalking' her and making 'sexually inappropriate' remarks, including through media platforms, which she said were intended to outrage her modesty.
In a Facebook post, Rose expressed frustration over the incident, questioning whether it was acceptable for someone to insult a woman based on perceived superiority from wealth. She did not name the individual involved.
According to Rose, the man initially invited her as a guest to an event, which she attended. However, after she turned down subsequent invitations, she alleged that he began insulting her as retaliation. The actress claimed the person attended events she participated in and made deliberate comments to demean her, often leveraging media platforms to spread such remarks.
Rose voiced concerns about the legal system, asking whether it offers any protection against such behavior. She highlighted that stalking and making sexually colored remarks are criminal offenses under the law. While she admitted to ignoring such comments in the past, she stated that this did not imply she was incapable of responding.
Honey Rose, known for her performances in Malayalam, Tamil
and Telugu films, shared her experience to shed light on the challenges faced by women in similar situations.
