Malankara Church head says enlightened people should decide on governance

Kottayam: The decision on whether there should be a change in governance or a continuation in Kerala should be made by the enlightened people, said Malankara Church head Baselios Marthoma Mathews III catholicos. He cast his vote at Muttambalam Municipal Library.People are aware of matters related to FCRA, he added. In response to a question about two church members contesting in Aranmula, catholicos expressed happiness regardless of who wins the seat. In the elections, the people are the kings, and the candidates are humble servants. Catholicos added that the people, as kings, will make the decision, he said.
