KOCHI: The Kerala high court on Friday dismissed the bail plea of Martin Joseph, who is accused of rape and torture of his live-in partner at a flat at Marine Drive in Kochi.
Justice Shircy V dismissed the bail plea after prosecution submitted that even though the investigation has been completed, the mobile phone and a gun in his possession are yet to be recovered.

If he is granted bail, it may lead to destruction of these evidence, the court was told.
As per the prosecution case, a 27-year-old fashion designer from Kannur was abused and tortured by the accused from February 15th to March 8th last year. The torture was allegedly after she questioned his relationship with another woman. She had also alleged that he cheated her of Rs 5 lakh.
