Kurumkuzhal exponent Narayanan Nair dies

Thrissur: Noted Kurumkuzhal exponent Thalore Pozhankandath Narayanan Nair died following age-related ailments, at a private hospital here on Tuesday morning. He was 82. Nair had been a vibrant performer in Thrissur Pooram from the Thiruvambady side for 40 years.
He had also performed during the prominent festivals Tripunithura and Koodalmanikkam as well as at the Pooram festivals atPeruvanam, Arattupuzha and Oorakam for several years. After primary education, Narayanan Nair underwent training under the Kurumkuzhal maestro Pozhankandath Rama Panicker. Narayanan Nair has also won several accolades.
He is survived by his wife Radha and the sons Unnikrishnan and Anil.
