KRLCC urges voters to uphold secular values
Kochi: Kerala Region Latin Catholic Council (KRLCC) has urged the public to effectively use their voting rights to protect secular values and strengthen the democratic process. The Latin Catholic community will continue to follow a policy of issue-based and value-based equidistance in this election. However, the approach of political parties towards people's issues and demands, along with the personal competence, values and social commitment of the candidates, should be the criteria in the election, added KRLCC.

KRLCC said that the comprehensive development of Kerala and balanced social progress were not discussed. The hollow claims, unrealistic promises and the noise of campaigns filled with promotional boards across the state are examples of financial mismanagement in the election. Political parties should abandon such election campaign methods. Ultimately, it is the people of Kerala who have to bear the cost of all this, pointed out KRLCC.
