Krishna Iyer memorial plan gains momentum

Kochi: Expediting procedures to set up Justice V R Krishna Iyer Memorial Research and Study Centre, district collector issued an order granting approval for acquiring Krishna Iyer's house Sadgamaya, adjacent building and land for the memorial project.
Rajagiri Educational Alternatives and Community Health (outreach) Service Society submitted a social impact assessment (SIA) report regarding the project.
Order issued by district collector states that expert committee unanimously approved SIA report related to land acquisition, and approximately 0.688 hectares in Ernakulam village is hereby approved for establishment of the centre. "The project intends to set up a legal research study centre that will benefit students and researchers," says the order. tnn
