Kochi’s homeless people celebrate Onam
KOCHI: It was celebration with a difference for some Kochiites on Thiruvonam day. While festivities and a feast at home marked the day for majority of Malayalis, a few individuals and organizations extended the celebrations to people on the street. Theruvora Pravarthaka Association served a sumptuous feast to around 100 people.
The destitute from across the city were also given new clothes.

Cochin development committee organized Onam festivities for the inmates of Palluruthy Sneha Bhavan on Wednesday while Dayas Foundation distributed Onam kits to around 200 families from the lower strata of society.
