Nair had also made a fake email ID and seals of the retail chain to send unique transaction register (UTR) codes to the jeweller. The fraud came to light when the jeweller contacted the company after they failed to receive the money.
A police team headed by Vipindas arrested Nair from Bengaluru and also recovered three fourth of the ornaments from his home. The accused sold off the rest of the ornaments in Mumbai.
