The show curated

artist Satyapal

has been titled 'Spectres of Mahatma- Gandhiji did not commit suicide'. Works of art by 121 artists from across India will be available for viewing in social media pages of Whiterose including Facebook, blog and Youtube.

According to Satyapal the artworks in the exhibition would be an artistic response to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, the philosophy he espoused and the growing fanaticism.

"The show is a tribute to Mahatma. After 73 years fanatic forces are shooting at his image in close range and trying to kill him again and again. They fear Gandhi, they fear the ideology of Gandhi, they fear the values of Gandhi, they fear dreams of Gandhi," said Satyapal, a former chairman of Kerala Lalita Kala Akademy.

.A total of 200 works by celebrated artists like Shyam Sarma, Haren Thakore, Mrinal Kanthi, Sidharth Ghosh, Riyaz Komu, Bara Bhaskaran, Mani Bharatheeya and Bharvi Trivedi are part of the exhibition.
