said that the

construction

works of the plan has reached the last leg.

The authorities on Monday will bring a machine using aseptic blow-fill-seal technology for manufacturing the medicines as part of the operation of the plant. The plant is being set up at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

He said that after bringing the machines to the KSDP, construction works related to the installation of the machine will be completed and the plant will be inaugurated in February. “The trail production of the plant will also be kicked off soon after the inauguration. It is the first of its kind plant in the state,” Chandrababu said.

“The new plant is going to be opened adjacent to non-beta-lactam plant of the KSDP and it can produce around 3.5 crore ampules, 1.3 crore vials, 1.2 crore Large-volume parenterals (LVPs) and 88 lakh ophthalmic medicines per annum,” said the KSDP authorities in the press note.

"We are going to install the Rommelag machine that will produce antibiotic injections and glucose.The plant will function in tune with ISO 5 guidelines," he added.

In order to put drip, 14 types of medicines can be produced in the new plant. Small-volume parenterals (SVPs) including antibiotics, pain killers, antihypertensive and antiviral drugs will also be produced in the plant.
