Kerala set to get third Vande Bharat express, rake reaches

KOCHI: Raising hopes that Kerala is set to get another Vande Bharat express, rake of third ine has reached the state. The third Vande Bharat express is expected to operate service between Ernakulam and Bangalore. Reportedly, the rake is currently stationed at Kollam due to space constraints in Ernakulam.

No confirmation has been received by railway authorities in Kerala when the service will start and which stations will have stoppages. Two existing Vande Bharat expresses operate between Thiruvananthapuram - Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram - Mangalore routes. First one was launched in April last year. Both services witness good booking of seats.

The third Vande Bharat from Ernakulam is expected to reach Bangalore in just nine hours. The railway has recently carried out works at its Ernakulam marshalling yard for repair works in Vande Bharat.
