Kerala man hacks wife to death, confesses on FB live

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 42-year-old man allegedly hacked his estranged wife to death in Kerala's Kollam on Monday. Isaac, the accused, forcefully entered the house of his wife Shalini, 39, a private school teacher from Valacode village. She died on the spot after he struck her repeatedly with a sharp weapon, Punalur police said.

Moments after the incident, Isaac broadcast a two-and-a-half minute Facebook Livestream where he accused Shalini of 'infidelity' and of 'neglecting' their son. Isaac said he was forced to leave the house he built. He also voiced resentment against Shalini's decision to continue working, which was a point of contention between them. Police said the couple had been living apart for months due to frequent quarrels.

Isaac initially fled after posting the video but later surrendered to police. He has been booked under BNS section 101 for murder. Shalini's body has been handed over to her family after postmortem.
