Kerala budget being presented

KOCHI: The LDF government's budget is being presented by Finance Minister TM Thomas Isaac. While offering rescue packages to the agricultural sector, the budget is also focusing on upgradation of the educational and healthcare infrastructure in the state.
Highlights: Cashew sector gets Rs 100 crore. Pepper and cardamom gets Rs 10 crore each. Paddy procurement (Rs 385 crore), coir (Rs 232 crore) and agri-parks (Rs 500 crore) are other major agri allocations.
Healthcare infrastructure gets Rs 1000 crore and upgradation of schools gets Rs 500 crore.
