Justice MR Anitha is considering the petition filed by 30-year-old Kiran Kumar S of Poruvazhy in

through senior advocate M Vijayabhanu.

The case was registered by Sooranadu police for dowry death and matrimonial cruelty on a complaint filed by Vismaya’s parents. Vismaya, who got married on May 31, 2020, was found dead on June 21 this year. Kiran was arrested on June 22 and is in custody.

It is contended by the applicant that Vismaya, who had left her matrimonial home, had returned along with him and that he was desirous of continuing the matrimony. A minor family bickering has been blown out of proportion, he contends while relying on the inquest to state that the only bodily injury found was a tiny scratch on her wrist.
