Thodupuzha: Idukki police have arrested a man involved in a Rs 15 crore theft case reported in Nashik, Maharashtra.
The accused is Titus George, 36, a native of Mundoor in Palakkad. He was reportedly hiding within the limits of Vagamon police station after the theft.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a special squad led by Idukki district police chief, along with two police officers who arrived from Nashik, tracked down the accused. He was then arrested from a resort in Pullikkanam.
According to the district police chief, the accused is also involved in three other theft cases registered at police stations in Kallikkad (Palakkad) and Chithode in Erode, Tamil Nadu. Further investigation is under way.
