ICSE, ISC results: Kerala girls emerge second at national level

: Kerala recorded a pass percentage of 99.91 and 98.97 in Class X (

ICSE

) and Class XII (ISC) examinations, respectively, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) .


Nimitha Jose Edassery of St Patricks Academy, Angamaly, secured second position at national level in Class X. Nimitha, who scored 99.4% shared the second position with nine others.

Namrata Nandagopal and Riya Renu Thomas, both of St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram, and Parthiv S Rao of Thiruvalla Mar Thoma Residential School shared second position in the state with 98.6%. Four students came third in the state –Yashit Jain (Pallikkoodam School, Kottayam), Archa M (Don Bosco Central School, Mannuthy), Sneha Mariam John (Mar Thoma Residential School, Thiruvalla) and Donel Chacko Baby (Christ Nagar HSS Thiruvananthapuram) – by securing 98.4%.

In ISC, Fiona Edwin of L’Ecole Chempaka, Thiruvananthapuram, emerged first in state with 99.75%. She secured second position at the national level. Securing 99.25 %, Meenakshi S (Holy Angels ISC School, Thiruvananthapuram), Krishnendu E (Sandeepani Vidyanikethan, Thrissur), Shreya Smitha (Christ Nagar HSS, Thiruvananthapuram) and Anushca Thomas (Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, Thrissur) shared ISC second rank in the state. The third rank was shared by Ankita Radhakrishnan (Christ Nagar HSS, Thiruvananthapuram) and Jerry John Thomas (St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram) with 99% marks.

The pass percentages of Kerala ICSE and ISE students are higher than the overall pass percentages – 98.54 (ICSE) and 96.52 (ISC). Many of the schools in the state clocked cent percentage pass. According to CISCE, girl students (99.95%) outperformed boys (99.87) in the state this year also.
