History-sheeter arrested during night patrolling
The arrested is identified as Siddique of Aluva. He was arrested by a team led by inspector P M Baiju during night patrolling.
He was released from jail on September 8 in a theft case registered in Chalakudy.
Soon after being released from jail, he robbed a textile shop and a medical shop in Muvattupuzha.TNN

In response to the recent cases of kidnapping and rape in Aluva, the police have increased their presence in the area. They have deployed more personnel to police stations in Aluva and surrounding areas, conducted surprise checks and nighttime combing operations. The police have also started overnight special drives in Aluva, resulting in the arrest of several individuals involved in criminal activities. The local municipality is also taking steps to address the issue, such as installing lighting and launching an open-air theatre. Additionally, senior police officials have requested the implementation of a categorization system for police stations to allocate more personnel based on their workload.
