History-sheeter arrested during night patrolling

Kochi: Muvattupuzha police have arrested a 54-year-old man, a history-sheeter facing charges in 30 theft cases registered at various police stations in the state. The arrested is identified as Siddique of Aluva. He was arrested by a team led by inspector P M Baiju during night patrolling.He was released from jail on September 8 in a theft case registered in Chalakudy. Soon after being released from jail, he robbed a textile shop and a medical shop in Muvattupuzha.TNN

4 held for killing history-sheeter

Police in Chennai have arrested a four-member gang following the murder of a local BJP functionary. The victim, Venkatesan, had several criminal cases pending against him and was last seen with his friends Guna, Sathish Kumar, Chandru, and Arun. Additionally, senior police officials have requested the implementation of a categorization system for police stations to allocate more personnel based on their workload.
