Heavy rain alert across state today
Kochi: India meteorological department (IMD) issued yellow and orange warning of heavy rainfall across the state on Monday. Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod will be on orange alert, while the remaining districts will be on yellow warning on Monday.
By Wednesday, only five districts from Malappuram to Kasaragod will be on yellow warning of heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the intensity of rainfall recorded has been reducing in the state on Sunday. Kanjirapuzha in Palakkad received only 3cm rain, the highest amount recorded in the state, till 5.30pm on Sunday. Kerala received 15cm rainfall against the normal of 12cm in this season in seven days till Sunday morning.
