Heart recipient spreads message of organ donation

, an IT professional with Wipro who had undergone second heart transplant five years ago at a private hospital in Kochi, visited the hospital again on Wednesday.

Living a normal life, Kumar wants to spread the message of organ donation.

, who did the heart transplant, said it was for the first time in the country that a heart transplant was conducted successfully on a patient for a second time.

“The state government should come forward to create awareness among the public on the importance of cadaveric organ donations,” Dr Periappuram said.
