THRISSUR: The
Kerala University of Health Sciences
is waiting for legal opinion on the implications of the reported order pronounced by the
Supreme Court on Friday, extending the date of completion of the
medical admission
process to October 7 from September 30.
However, the university has announced its decision to extend the last date for completion of the admission process in the dental colleges to October 7 instead of September 30, as was announced earlier.
The officials said this was because the
Dental Council of India
has communicated to the University about the postponement of the admission completion date.
"In the case of admissions to the medical courses, the university website will be closed this midnight as we have not yet received any legal communication about the latest Supreme Court order. If we get any communication on Saturday on the reported Supreme Court decision extending the deadline for completion of the admission, we will reopen the website. Then the college authorities will be able to register the details of the latest list of students on the website, till October 7," the university official said.
