PATHANAMTHITTA: Four people have been arrested for attacking a Christmas carol party from a church in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district on Wednesday morning, police said here. The arrested people were also part of a carol party from another church, police said.
The occurrence took place in the Kumbanad region, which falls under the Koipuram police station's jurisdiction.
Police officials stated that the carol group faced an assault from members of another church.
The confrontation arose when the attackers claimed the carol performers had not lowered their performance lights whilst moving along the road.
The confrontation occurred at around 1.30am whilst the carol team was performing at a house. During the ensuing altercation, female members of the carol team were also impacted, according to police reports.
Police authorities have confirmed that investigations are continuing to locate additional participants involved in the assault.
