Food poisoning at NCC camp: Health officials inspect college

Kochi: Health department officials, along with the health wing of Thrikkakara municipality, conducted a follow-up inspection at KMM Arts & Science College following reports of food poisoning at the NCC camp on Dec 23.
Officials collected water samples from the college again and sent them to the public health lab. The officials stated that they have not yet identified the source of contamination and are waiting for the sample test results.
Man killed during drunken brawl: A 25-year-old man was killed in an alleged drunken altercation at Aluva Manappuram on Wednesday. The deceased was identified by the police as Josekutty of Kottayam. According to the police, the prime suspect in the case was identified as Arun Babu of Uliyannoor. The police said Babu stabbed the deceased with scissors following an argument.
Notorious criminal held: Angamaly police on Thursday arrested a notorious criminal for failing to attend court proceedings. According to police, Grinthesh, 38, of Parambayam, in Kozhikode, was wanted for skipping court appearances in two cases: murder of Chengamanad Gillapi Vinod and an attempted murder incident in Kalady.
