Father files plaint as disabled son misses exam

Kochi: Aluva police have received a complaint from the father of a youth, who was severely disabled, that the invigilators at an examination centre at Keezhmad refused to allow him to enter the examination hall along with his son who was set to attend an examination of the Staff Selection Commission.

The father says that he usually pushes his son’s wheelchair till the seat where he takes the exam since he was nearly 70% disabled due to muscular dystrophy. However, on Thursday’s exam, he was not allowed to go in, citing rules, he alleged.

Aluva police said they have called up the staff of the examination centre to the station on Friday to find out what exactly transpired. tnn
