Kottayam: NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair stated that while the organisation is not expressing an opinion on whether a change in govt is needed, democracy should prevail. He made the remarks after casting his vote at St Theresa's School, Vazhappally, Changanassery.
"Democracy must succeed, and every vote should be cast after considering the current circumstances. We are not saying whether there should be a change in govt or not. Whoever wins should come to power. Democracy must succeed, and people should adopt a stance accordingly," he said.
"The culprits in Sabarimala gold theft case should be punished. I believe govt and the court are investigating it properly. Let that proceed," said Nair. When asked if there is a wave in favour of any party in the election, he said, "I am not saying anything about that right now."
